That is why we provide many scholarship opportunities and other aid programs. Ministry Scholarship

The Ministry Scholarship is available to qualifying first-year students who are members of a Baptist church or qualifying continuing students who are members of a Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) church, who are also enrolled in a Graduate School of Ministry (GSOM) program, and have shown evidence of a divine call to vocational and bi-vocational church-related Christian ministry. Students that qualify for the Ministry Scholarship will receive $200 per credit hour (the Baptist General Convention of Texas provides $100 per credit hour, and DBU provides $100 per credit hour). Baptist Heritage Scholarship

The Graduate School of Ministry Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) Scholarship is a $1000 per semester scholarship for three (3) academic years. Students must be actively involved in a BGCT church, pursuing a degree in Graduate School of Ministry (GSOM), and are not required to be enrolled full time to receive this scholarship. This scholarship applies only to the completion of the hours required for the primary degree listed in a dual degree program. Church Matching Grant Scholarship

Dallas Baptist University will match up to $3,500 per academic year given on a student's behalf from his/her local church. Certain restrictions apply. For more information, please refer to the Church Matching Gift Guidelines on the Financial Aid website.

Baptist General Convention of Texas Matching Program

Dallas Baptist University will match up to $500 per semester given by the BGCT on behalf of students employed by the BGCT up to $3,000 total. Certain restrictions apply. For more information, please contact DBU's Financial Aid Office at (214) 333-5363 or the BGCT at (214) 828-5100.

Baptist Minister's Dependent Scholarship

The spouse of an ordained or licensed minister who actively serves full-time in any Baptist church or Baptist agency ministry may be eligible to receive a per semester hour tuition scholarship. For more information, please contact DBU's Financial Aid Office at (214) 333-5363.

Camp Ministry Matching Gift Program

Dallas Baptist University will match designated Christian Camp gifts for DBU students up to, but not exceeding, $1,300.00 per academic year. For more information, please contact DBU’s Financial Aid Office at (214) 333-5363.

DBU Military Chaplaincy Scholarship

Students in DBU's Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care program who have been commissioned into the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, or U.S. Air Force Chaplain Candidate Program may qualify to receive a $2,000 per academic year scholarship. This is a need-based scholarship that is exclusively available for those who have been commissioned into military chaplaincy. For more information, please contact Dr. Tom Vann at (214) 333-5805.
