Dr. Jack Goodyear Named Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences

Dallas Baptist University has named Dr. Jack Goodyear as Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr. Goodyear has been on the faculty at DBU as Assistant Professor of Political Science since 2008.

Prior to joining the DBU faculty, he served as a minister at various churches in Arlington, Texas; and Tampa, Florida. He holds a Ph.D. in Religion, Politics, and Society from Baylor University; a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary; and a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor.

Dr. Goodyear and his wife, Jessica, make their home in Arlington with their three children -- Grant, Claire, and Tessa. They are active members of First Baptist Church, Arlington.
